Your experience
From your first message to the framed photos on your walls, here’s what you can expect when we work together.
The meeting
As soon as you submit the form
Within 48 hours, you’ll receive an email, along with a text message to make sure it doesn’t end up in your spam folder. This first message includes my price list, because I believe that financial matters deserve to be addressed clearly and promptly. There’s nothing more frustrating than getting excited about someone only to find out later that your budgets don’t align.
In that same email, you’ll find a link to choose a time slot from my calendar—either online or in person—depending on your situation and what you prefer. No endless back-and-forth to find a date: you pick what works for you, and I’ll confirm it. We usually get in touch within a week of your request. Sometimes it takes longer, depending on life’s ups and downs.
The first exchange
This meeting usually lasts about an hour, though sometimes much longer if we hit it off and neither of us has anything urgent to attend to. It’s not an interview; it’s a real meeting.
Let’s start by talking about you: what you do for a living, your passions, and how you work together. My goal isn’t to check off a list—I want to see if there’s a connection between you. Your wedding photographer will be there for your most intimate moments, so it’s important that you feel comfortable so that my presence feels natural on your wedding day.
Next, we’ll talk about your wedding—what really matters to you and what you want to see in your photos. That’s when I’ll know whether my approach is a good fit for you or not.
Finally, we’ll lay the groundwork for an initial schedule. I’ll work with you to see if your plans align with your vision for the photos, whether an existing package fits your needs, or if we should create a custom plan.
The decision, made without pressure
After our discussion, I’ll give you a week to think it over, meet with other photographers if you’d like, and talk it over with each other. My goal isn’t for you to leave convinced right then and there—it’s for you to still be convinced the next morning when you wake up.
Once you're ready to move forward: a signed contract and a 40% deposit are all it takes to secure your date.
Preparation
Before the big day, we get to know each other
The engagement photo shoot isn't just an optional extra. It's a step I consider essential—for both of us.
Together, we’ll choose a location or activity that truly reflects who you are. It doesn’t have to be a lavender field at sunset. It could be the place where you spend your Sunday mornings, a hike that’s close to your heart, or your favorite restaurant—the session should be a reflection of you, not just a generic postcard setting.
This session is included in your package. It allows me to see how you move, how you laugh, and how you look at each other. As for you, you’ll leave with your first experience in front of my camera and the confidence that you made the right choice. If there’s anything you didn’t like, now is the time to let me know.
Site visit and schedule development
I’ll visit your venue in advance. This gives me a chance to identify spots that interest me from a photographic standpoint and share some ideas with you for more creative moments we could incorporate. These ideas can then be worked directly into your schedule.
I’ll work with you to create this schedule in a shared file. It outlines each part of the day, the locations, my points of contact, and the backup plans in case the weather requires us to adjust our plans. We’ll also use it to prepare the list of group photos.
One to two weeks before the wedding, we’ll meet one last time to make sure everything is clear so we can go into the day with peace of mind.
My role in relation to your other service providers
I’m not a wedding planner, but I strongly believe in clear and proactive communication among vendors. We’re all here for the same reason: to make sure your day is incredible. I’ll reach out to your coordinator or planner ahead of time to make sure we’re all on the same page.
What I ask of you in return is that the couple’s photo session not be sacrificed to the vagaries of the day. If the preparations run late or the caterer is rushing everyone, your couple’s session shouldn’t be canceled.
The Big Day
I'll be there before you
I arrive on site half an hour before my assignment begins. That gives me time to get there, set up my equipment, put on my gear, and be fully prepared before anything starts.
Present but not visible
During the ceremony, I never walk in front of the front row. I crouch down, move quietly, and wear quiet shoes and subdued colors.
There’s one thing I’m firm about: I ask that there be no cell phones during the ceremony. Guests who stand up with their smartphones ruin your experience as the bride and groom, block my shots, and end up with blurry photos they’ll never use. Your professional photos deserve better—and so do you.
During the reception, I observe, keep to myself, and join the group when something starts to happen. Later in the evening, I like to be right in the thick of things.
Couple Photo Sessions
You don’t have to spend a whole hour at sunset if that’s not your style. During our final meeting before the wedding, we’ll brainstorm together on how to weave a few intentional moments into your day.
In one of those moments, I’ll take you off to a quiet spot so we can create something unique together: a carefully lit, composed portrait, crafted like a painting. The photo that will make you say, “How on earth did she do that?”
If something doesn't go as planned
Weather: I’ve already got a Plan B in place. I come fully equipped to protect both you and my gear, and I’m flexible. Couple photos in the rain have their own charm. And if the weather really doesn’t cooperate on the wedding day, we can schedule an after-wedding photo session.
Challenging lighting conditions: I bring enough flashes to handle any tricky situation. During the ceremony, I don't use them, because I find them too intrusive during such a solemn moment.
Backups: Your photos are saved to multiple storage devices on the evening of the wedding. They are stored on my hard drives for five years.
The Wait
What happens between the big day and delivery
Within four to six weeks of your wedding, I will select, edit, and prepare your photo gallery. You can expect between 40 and 50 photos per hour of coverage.
I don’t deliver every single shot. I deliver the best ones—the ones that truly capture your day, the ones you’ll want to linger over.
Delivery
Discovering Your Gallery
Your photo album doesn't just arrive in an email. Discovering your photos is a special experience, and you deserve to relive your day in all its intensity.
The gallery is available online for one year and can be downloaded in high resolution. It is also hosted on my own servers for five years.
What you can do with your photos
Your photos belong to you: you are free to share them with your friends and family and on social media. Any modification of the photos using artificial intelligence is not permitted for personal use. Any commercial use or transfer to third parties requires my prior consent.
The album and the prints
If you’d like an album, I’ll create an initial mockup based on a selection of photos, which you can review and approve. After one or two rounds of revisions, we’ll arrive at the final design. I’ll also design the cover using fabric samples. Once your order is placed, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
For prints, I work with a European lab that specializes in fine art printing. I’ll personally help you choose the right media for your photos, because I firmly believe that your photos deserve better than a hard drive forgotten in a drawer.
