Your elopement: From Dream to Adventure
I realized something one morning in Poland, standing by a lake that no one else was looking at. I had walked 20 km the day before in the Tatra Mountains, alone, with no group obligations or schedule to keep. The sun was rising over Lake Morskie Oko, and the silence was absolute.
What I took away from that morning is that the best moments aren't planned by a committee. They happen when you allow yourself to go where no one is expecting you.
I see this same sense of certainty in some couples. When you tell me aboutelopement, I don’t see it as a default choice. Some couples hesitate, feel a little guilty about not wanting a big celebration, and almost apologize for preferring an intimate setting. But I see two people in love who know exactly what they want and have the courage to go for it—two people who’ve decided to celebrate this day their own way.
The day before, you might lace up your hiking boots and pack your backpack. Or you might open a bottle of wine at an inn that smells of stone and lavender. No matter the route: what matters is that you chose it yourself.
The next morning, no strict schedule, no venue to vacate by midnight. Just the place you chose for its special meaning, your vows exchanged before something greater than yourselves. The officiant, the florist, the itinerary: everything has been planned in advance so that you have only one thing to do on that day. To be there for each other, in the heart of a place that reflects who you are.
All while being accompanied by someone who knows the way, has a Thermos, and knows exactly what to do when the light or the plans change. Don’t panic if the sky clouds over or if the schedule goes off track. This person adapts, observes, and anticipates. You don’t have to wonder if everything will turn out okay—you already know it will.

elopement Photographer: Much More Than Just a Photo Shoot
Before D-Day
It all starts with a conversation: your project, the place you’ve always dreamed of, the atmosphere you have in mind. Sometimes it’s very specific (a fjord in Norway, a date, a sunrise time). Sometimes it’s just a vague intuition (somewhere in the south, surrounded by nature, in the spring). Both work perfectly for me.
From there, we’ll plan the trip together. I’ll put my experience at your disposal to turn this rough outline into a concrete plan: a mood board to set the tone, suggestions for finding the right vendors (officiant, florist, lodging), and ideas for activities to make your elopement a true adventure—not just a ceremony. While I’m not a wedding planner, I’ve explored enough trails and villages to know where to look.
A few days before the big departure, we'll go over the itinerary together so that when the big day arrives, you'll be relaxed and ready to go—with only one thing on your mind: enjoying the experience.
On the day of your elopement
On the big day, you’re in control of your time. No minute-by-minute schedule, no mechanical sequence of events. Did you have plans, but the rain had other ideas? You find shelter, wait for the shower to pass, and order something hot. The unexpected is part of the journey.
The preparations, a "first look" that belongs only to the two of you, your vows exchanged against the vast backdrop of nature, and your couple photos set against the landscape you’ve chosen: each moment unfolds at its own pace, without anyone rushing you.
There’s something special about a “ elopement ”: you aren’t being watched by 100 people, but by just one person you’ve chosen. My role on that day is to be fully present with you—with enough distance to capture what’s happening between you, and enough presence to make you feel supported, but never observed.
Sometimes in the background, invisible, waiting for that spontaneous moment. Sometimes active, when the light changes and you have to seize the moment before it’s gone. And in between, a quiet certainty: you are exactly where you need to be.
What happens next?
A few weeks later, your photo gallery arrives. It’s never just a simple link sent by email: I work behind the scenes to prepare for the delivery so that you can relive the day with the same intensity as if you were actually there. The details you didn’t notice at the time, the light on your face as you exchanged vows, the look on your partner’s face when you weren’t looking at them yet…

Planning a " elopement " abroad sounds wonderful on paper. In reality, it also involves coordinating with an officiant who doesn’t speak your language, finding a florist in a village of 300 people, and navigating local formalities without losing your mind. It’s exactly in situations like these that my experience makes all the difference.
I’ve lived abroad for several years (Germany, Norway, Poland, Iceland, Polynesia…) and have always taken my camera with me. Through these experiences, I’ve developed the habit of adapting, of finding my way in places where I don’t know anyone, and of creating something beautiful where others would see only logistical obstacles.
And because I'm fluent in French, English, and German, I can communicate with your on-site vendors and get through the day without any misunderstandings getting in the way.
Whether your elopement takes you to the Calanques of Marseille, the Amalfi Coast, or to the end of a trail you spotted on a map, I'll find my way there.
Provence is my home base, Europe is my playground, and I'll even accompany you beyond that—if the project is worth the trip.

My name is Cécile, and I'm a photographer specializing in elopement and intimate weddings.
I trained in filmmaking across France, Europe, and Asia. It is this background that allows me to bring to every project a perspective shaped by my travels, a cinematic artistic vision, and a sincere focus on each couple’s story.
Based in Marseille, I work with couples in Provence, throughout Europe, and wherever their adventures take them.

I’m based in Provence and travel throughout the region on a regular basis (Marseille, the Var, the Vaucluse, the Luberon, etc.). Beyond that, I’ve photographed elopements in Norway, Poland, and Germany… If your project takes me far away, we’ll discuss travel expenses together from the start so that everything is clear.

Yes, and that's not all. After living abroad for several years—particularly in Germany—I am trilingual in French, English, and German.

I offer two package options as a starting point, starting at €2,600. For projects that go off the beaten path, we’ll work together to create a customized plan based on the destination, duration, and your preferences.

For couples who would like a video keepsake of their elopement, I work with a trusted videographer who joins me on-site to make sure nothing is missed on your big day.

Once the location for your elopement has been confirmed, I’ll take care of arranging my own travel. We’ll discuss the costs together in advance, so there won’t be any surprises for you.
